JCI Jakarta offers a range of Priority Programs designed to empower young people in Jakarta and address critical national issues.
Addressing Bullying and Child Sexual Violence
As a concrete step to support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, JCI Jakarta has signed a cooperation pact with Kids Biennale Indonesia. This collaboration aims to raise public awareness about bullying and child sexual violence while fostering inter-organizational cooperation to combat these issues.
Developing Sanitation and Clean Water Infrastructure
In 2024, JCI Jakarta launched a project to build bore wells and sanitation facilities (MCK) in two locations in Ngawi. This initiative provides long-term benefits for approximately 1,000 residents, primarily farmers and laborers, by improving access to clean water and sanitation.
Public Infrastructure Rehabilitation
JCI Jakarta played a key role in rehabilitating the Jembatan Cinta Indonesia in Ciherang, Sumedang, which had been severely damaged. This effort ensures better accessibility and safety for the local community.
Prosthetic Limb Donation for People with Disabilities
As part of its commitment to social inclusion, JCI Jakarta initiated a prosthetic limb donation program to support people with disabilities. This program aims to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for beneficiaries while promoting awareness of inclusivity and support for people with disabilities.
These programs reflect JCI Jakarta's commitment to empowering youth and making a positive impact on society through initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
